Auction to be held April 23, 2010
On Friday, April 23rd Kurtz will auction a 244 acre horse farm in Daviess County, Kentucky for the James T. Hines, Jr. Estate. The estate features a 10,000 square ft. home along with two additional homes, horse barns and an arena and will sell in six tracts. If at all possible, Kurtz believes it is important for everyone at Kurtz to see and be able to inform interested buyers about the properties they sell so on Thursday, February 18, the staff at Kurtz Auction and Realty toured the grounds of the estate to familiarize their selves with this premium property.
Joe Mills, the auctioneer in charge, provided lunch in the beautifully detailed kitchen and the staff enjoyed their meal in the adjoining atrium featuring a large stone pizza oven. After a tour of the home from top (movie theatre) to bottom (indoor pool with built-in bar) the staff loaded into vehicles to inspect the barns, stables, and riding arena.
Before heading back to the office in Owensboro, the staff also toured the one story frame home on tract two as well as the brick home on tract three.
All of the staff agreed that, in spite of the fine brochure they had produced for this property, their words and pictures did not adequately describe the grandeur of the rolling pastures and the utmost attention to detail that Mr. Hines put into developing this home and acreage.
Call Joe Mills to view the property and appreciate it the way we did on our personal tour.
